Rocio Aldana and Julie Ellafrits Selected To Co-Chair Executive Board
CHICAGO, IL (January 26, 2022) -- The America SCORES Chicago Board of Directors is pleased to announce a leadership transition within its Executive Board effective January of 2022. Following twenty years of service to SCORES, Matt Raino of Madison Dearborn Capital Partners has resigned his position as Chair. Throughout his tenure, America SCORES Chicago has evolved tremendously and is deeply grateful for his leadership and generous commitment dating back to 2002. As part of a redesigned governance model created in collaboration with the Board of Directors and centered in shared leadership, SCORES has elected Rocio Aldana of William Blair and Julie Ellafrits of Businessolver to serve in elevated roles as Co-Chairs of the Executive Board moving forward.
Rocio Aldana
Rocio Aldana makes the transition to SCORES’ Executive Board after serving on its Development Board since the fall of 2014. A native of Rockford, Illinois and a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, Rocio got her professional start at Radio Disney before joining William Blair in 2009. In her role at William Blair she has grown from catering admin to Senior Manager for Hospitality and Events. Today she works to forecast, strategize, and execute the firm’s hospitality and events program. Rocio currently resides in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago with her wife, Katherine, and their dog, Frankie.
Julie Ellafrits
Julie Ellafrits has served on SCORES’ Executive board since 2019 after serving on it’s Development Board since 2012. A native of Greenville, Michigan and a graduate of Michigan State University, Julie moved to Chicago in 2002. Her professional career has been in Employee Benefits Consulting and Administration with stops at Hub International, Aon Hewitt, Willis Towers Watson before finding her way to Businessolver where she serves as Director of Client Operations. Julie resides in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago with her partner, Mike, and new puppy, Tippy.
America SCORES Chicago’s Executive Board is made up of caring business and community leaders representing a wide array of professional sectors within Chicago. The Board provides strategic and fiscal oversight, corporate partnerships, and fundraising support in an effort to support SCORES’ mission to inspire youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.
