Red Carpet Poetry Slam 2024
The 2024 Red Carpet Poetry Slam was held at Harold Washington Library on Thursday, March 21, 2024.
Red Carpet Poetry Slam is an extraordinary evening, bringing together hundreds of guests, including poetry enthusiasts, community leaders, and supporters of America SCORES Chicago. The highlight of the evening is the original performances by select third through eighth grade Poet-Athletes. These talented individuals are chosen based on their outstanding performances at the SCORES Community Poetry Slam and their unwavering commitment throughout the year.
We are pleased to announce the 2024 Calliope Award Winner was Laureus USA. The Calliope Award, named for the Greek Muse and meaning “beautifully voiced,” is awarded to individuals who have used their voice, skill and resources to advance America SCORES’ mission. Throughout the evening, guests indulge in delicious hors d'oeuvres, partake in refreshing cocktails, and engage in a unique silent and live auction.
All proceeds from the event benefit America SCORES Chicago’s after school programming.
